Malenka Kaydan practices the work of multiples: Printmaking. She believes that printmaking is everywhere, and has taken up a lifelong quest to discover it in all places and forms. She works primarily in the medium of color reduction printmaking, affectionately referred to as “the suicide method”. Constantly feeling like she was born in the wrong century, Malenka strives to use historically rich traditional methods and apply them to the contemporary art context of the 21st Century. She completed her undergraduate work at Ashland University and recently received an M.F.A. in Printmaking from the Ohio State University.
