Christin's focus in the arts was established during her college years at The Ohio State University. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing in 2003 and continued her studies at OSU by obtaining a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2005. Since then, she has been creating work for gallery shows and portrait commissions while receiving recognition with awards, publications, and placement in private and public collections. Currently, she is teaching beginning art students at The Ohio State University's Newark campus.

Christin's work is a process of breaking down the image of her own face into sections. These sections are translated into installation paintings seen as tightly cropped or reshaped painted images on wood panels and bent wood lattice. As an installation painting, it wraps and bends around itself, the wall, and the floor, causing the viewer to move. She is intrigued by how overlapping, cropping and hiding the facial features distorts the face and creates a new relationship with how we look at this familiar image. She intends for the work to be a deconstruction of form and face as it bows and falls into pieces. "It resembles pieces of ribbon swaying and falling to the ground… and it is what I envision as the ribbons of me."
